TAKING A MOMENT

One of the nice things about being a government lawyer is that I don't have to work the crazy seventy-hour workweeks that many of my friends at big firms work. Of course, that means that when I do get really busy at work, I feel sort of overwhelmed and get major tunnel vision. That's why I've been a little MIA lately. I love my work and I want to make sure I do a good job, since I literally have people's lives in my hands. Today was one of those days that makes my eye twitch, but it was a very, very satisfying day nonetheless.

You know what I mean. We all get overwhelmed. We all have to prioritize things and activities and tasks and even relationships. Life is all about balance, and I'm still learning that. Anywho, I just wanted to take a moment to reflect. I'm busy because I'm blessed. My life is overflowing and I want to be able to enjoy every part of it. I love that this blog gives me a venue in which to really appreciate these things.

How does your life overflow?
